  • Aniwa Gathering 2024 is excited to offer flexible payment plans that allow you to spread the cost of your passes over a period of up to 24 months. You can select from a range of monthly payment options, including 6, 12, 18, or 24*.

  • Limited Early Bird Passes are available at a discount; once sold out, pricing shifts to Tier 1 Passes, and so forth. Higher tier options are offered for those wanting to contribute more to the event.

  • Our most convenient overnight option allows you to park a vehicle directly on your campsite, giving you and your crew the opportunity to build your very own Gathering haven at your designated location.

    • One vehicle per site allowed

    • One Car Camping Pass per site required

    Not permitted for Car Camping:

    • RV/Motorhome camping. Passenger cars, trucks or vans only

    • Motorcycles, RVs, trailers, motorhomes, buses or U-Haul truck

    • Vehicles with running water or toilet facilities

    • Cooking inside vehicles is not allowed. If your vehicle has a pre-installed factory stove, it is permitted, but cooking inside the vehicle is still prohibited.

    • Once you have parked your vehicle in a camping spot, you may not move it for the duration of the Gathering, for safety reasons. If you need to leave early and will not be returning to the festival, please inform security so that they can assist you in leaving safely

  • Will Aniwa Gathering 2024 sell-out?

    Yes, we anticipate selling-out. We did sell out some passes for Aniwa Gathering 2023.

  • These tickets are reserved for participants on a limited income who cannot otherwise afford our regular-priced tickets. These tickets are non-transferable and available by application only.

    Tickets awarded through the Ticket Aid Program are $270 each plus taxes and fees.

  • All sales are final and no refunds are allowed under any circumstance. All tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT: The name of the Event Organizer or PromoTix shall show on your credit card statement for all transactions and orders purchased through this site.

    Our event will move forward rain or shine, if the “Event” is cancelled in whole, or in part, due to Force Majeure there will be NO REFUNDS. IF THE EVENT NEEDS TO BE POSTPONED AGAIN DUE TO FORCE MAJEURE, YOUR TICKET WILL BE HONORED FOR UP TWO YEARS FOR FUTURE EVENTS.

    By purchasing this ticket, you, the “Participant” acknowledge and covenant that you have read and consent to the following (In the case of a minor participant, the minor participant’s parent or legal guardian acknowledges that they are also agreeing to the following on behalf of the minor participant and that the minor participant shall be bound by all the terms of this agreement)

    The Participant hereby acknowledge and agree that they understand the nature of the Event; that Participant is qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate therein; that there are certain inherent risks and dangers associated with the Event; and that, except as expressly set forth herein, they, knowingly and voluntarily, accept, and assume responsibility for, each of these risks and dangers, and all other risks and dangers that could arise out of, or occur during, Participant’s participation in the Event. Participant hereby agrees to ASSUME ALL RISKS associated with their participation in the Event. The Participant agrees to HOLD HARMLESS, RELEASE, DEFEND, AND INDEMNIFY Aniwa Gathering and its Affiliates, the Event venue, the owners, operators, contractors, and employees of said companies, and their affiliated organizations and companies, insurance carriers, parents, agents, representatives, assignees, officers, and directors (each hereinafter a "Released Party") for ANY AND ALL LIABILITY and claims, demands, causes of action, or other claims of any kind whatsoever, known or unknown, that arise from or relate to the Event, the Property, and Venue, including, but not limited to, any and all injuries or death to persons or damage to personal property arising from the Participant’s participation in the Event, including those claims based on any Released Party’s alleged or actual NEGLIGENCE or breach of any express or implied WARRANTY. Participant knowingly and intentionally waives any protections of California Civil Code Section 1542, which provides: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.” Participant agrees that this release is intended to cover all claims or possible claims arising out of or related to those matters referenced or implied in the general release reference above, whether the same are known, unknown, occur in the future, or hereafter discovered or ascertained and the provisions of Section 1542 of the California Civil Code are hereby expressly waived.

    You participate in the Event at your own risk. Participant understands and acknowledges that they have been informed and understand all Event rules and regulations, and agrees to comply with Event security and staff at all times. The Participant fully understand this assumption of risk, release and waiver of liability and indemnity agreement and that its terms are contractual, and not a mere recital.

    YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT: The name of the Event Organizer or PromoTix shall show on your credit card statement for all transactions and orders purchased through this site.

  • If you’re flying in for the event, the closest airport is Ontario International Airport (ONT). You may fly into Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) or Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

    • ONT to The Gathering: ~1hr 15 mins (55 miles)

    • PSP to The Gathering: ~1hr 30 mins (66 miles)

    • LAX to The Gathering: ~3 hrs (110 miles)

    We suggest carpooling, renting a car, or hiring a driver to arrive and depart from the event. Additional details will be emailed closer to the event.

  • Camping supplies: you must bring your own tent / sleeping bag / pillow / blanket / anything you need to keep yourself warm and comfortable at night.

    • Towel

    • Natural insect repellant

    • Lantern, flashlight or headlamp

    • Reusable water bottle: to fill at our water stations.

    • Rain gear

    • Sunscreen, sunglasses, hat

    • Shoes: please wear comfortable shoes. We recommend closed toe shoes / boots

    • Clothes for sweat lodge: women wear a dress or top and shorts and men wear shorts

    • Portable chargers for cell phones

    • Clothes: the days will be warm and nights will be cold - please prepare accordingly with the proper clothing / layers / jackets / etc.

    • Altitude medication if you are sensitive

    • Blanket or sarong: something to sit on the grass with

    • Cash: for food trucks and the marketplace which includes beautiful Indigenous art.

    In previous years we had unseasonably cold nights. While we anticipate warmer conditions, we also suggest coming prepared for cold nights. Please also pack:

    • Long johns

    • Hats

    • Scarves

    • Warm socks

    • Gloves

    • Very warm jacket (~40°F)

    • Layers

    • Extra warm blankets for sleeping

    • Zero & below sleeping bag

  • This gathering is a 4-day ceremony, please dress accordingly.

    • Ceremonial wear or modest clothing please

    • For sweat lodge: women please wear a dress or top and shorts / Men wear shorts.

    • It gets chilly at night please come prepared with warm clothing.

    • No nudity anywhere on Gathering premises, as per elders request.

  • Check-in for Aniwa Gathering 2024 begins on Thursday, June 13th at 9am - 9 pm.

    Check-in for people arriving Friday will be 8am - 9pm, Saturday will be 8am - 5pm, and Sunday will be 8am - 1pm.

Planning Your Gathering

  • The weather at Big Bear is usually the best guide for the weather at the campsite. In June weather can be high 60’s or 70’s, the typical low is maybe low 40’s, but sometimes in June that can dip into the high 30’s. Please come prepared with warm layers.

    The previous year's Gathering we had unseasonably cold nights. Nevertheless, with the milder winter experienced in 2024, we expect more typical June conditions for this year's event.

  • No pets or emotional support animals will be allowed on premises with the exception of verifiable service animals. If you have a service animal, we ask that you email info@aniwa.co and let us know in advance.

  • Before entering the Gathering, please ensure that you thoroughly review the list of prohibited items. If any of these items are found in your possession or vehicle, you will be given the option to remove and return the item or forfeit it upon entry. Please note that forfeited items will not be returned, and if you are uncertain whether an item is permitted, it is best to assume it is not.

    • Amplified sound (ex: large speakers)

    • Animals (service animals are allowed, please email info@aniwa.co prior to the Gathering)

    • Promotional branding or advertisements on tents / pop-up structures (manufacturer logos on camping tents are acceptable)

    • Drones

    • Flammables (ex: fireworks, explosives, ammunition)

    • Drugs

    • Drugs or drug paraphernalia

    • Generators

    • Open flames (campfires, candles, tiki torches)

    • Propane stoves allowed in General Camping only. They are not allowed in Car Camping

    • Personal vehicles (skates, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, electric scooters, etc. (Personal mobility devices are allowed for ADA Guests)

    • Vending (inventory will be confiscated)

    • Walkie Talkies / 2-way Radios

    • Weapons

  • The closing ceremony marks the end of our Gathering, and all participants must leave afterward. Once the ceremony ends, our strike/breakdown team will begin taking down the event. Extended stays are not possible to maintain our schedule and prepare to return the land to its original state. Please plan your departure in advance.

  • We will have an array of delicious and healthy food trucks and vendors to choose from.

    While our offerings provide many options for dietary needs such as vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free, please plan ahead if you have special dietary restrictions or severe allergies.

    If you plan to bring your own food, please review the ‘Bear Box & Safety’ section under the Camping section.

  • All Food Vendors will be cashless utilizing your wristband that you will either link your credit/debit card or load money onto your wristband with cash. Your wristband will then act as your currency for all of your food purchases.

    Your wristband will not work at the Marketplace. Please bring cash for the Marketplace purchases (i.e. Indigenous arts, clothing, etc.)

  • Q: Can I sell my [crystals, art, stuff] I want in the parking lots, camping area or any where at the Gathering?

    No. Vending is not pemitted without a vendor pass. Please apply to vend here.

  • WiFi is available for purchase. We highly suggest purchasing WiFi to stay up to date if there’s any schedule changes.

    Verizon provides relatively good cell reception at the venue, while AT&T offers moderate coverage. However, other carriers may experience intermittent signal issues.

    In 2023, the venue did not offer WiFi, but we are actively working on implementing WiFi access for the 2024 event.

General

  • Fresh spring water spigots, which will function as water stations, are located throughout the Gathering. They are all easily accessible.

  • There are toilets and shower buildings throughout the Gathering.

  • By attending Aniwa Gathering (the "Event"), you agree to being filmed and/or photographed, and understand that your image, voice, and likeness may be utilized by the Event organizers for promotional purposes. Any photos or videos captured at the Event, regardless of whether they are in digital or analog format, grant the Event organizers an exclusive license for promotional use.

    Additionally, any artwork or performances supported by the Event or occurring on Event grounds are subject to the same exclusive licensing for promotional purposes by the Event organizers. Photographers using 360-degree cameras, DSLRs, or cameras with interchangeable lenses must obtain media credentials to capture photos or videos at the Event.

  • Campfires are not allowed. To keep warm you are permitted to use portable propane heaters such as buddy heaters.

    We will be overseeing and monitoring the camping area to ensure fires are not being lit. This will help maintain a safe environment and prevent forest fires.

  • Campers may bring food.

    Please review the ‘Bear Box & Safety’ guidelines in this section.

    Enclosed propane stoves are allowed. An enclosed stove is a gas camp stove with an on-off switch (when the stove it turned off, all flame is extinguished immediately. No embers, ash, or any other fuel that could spill and cause a fire).

  • Campers may bring beverages.

    However, this is a dry event and therefore alcoholic beverages and any type of recreational substances (i.e. marijuana and drugs) are strictly prohibited.

    Please review the ‘Bear Box & Safety’ guidelines in this section if you plan to bring non-alcoholic beverages.

  • It is dry around California, we need to be extremely mindful.

    Holcomb Valley Ranch policy is no-smoking.

    There are no campfires, grills, or cooking stoves with an open flame.

    Enclosed propane stoves are allowed. An enclosed stove is a gas camp stove with an on-off switch (when the stove it turned off, all flame is extinguished immediately. No embers, ash, or any other fuel that could spill and cause a fire)

    If you have a propane heater, please be extremely careful with it. Make sure to use propane heaters away from any combustible materials. If you are camping, make sure to clear the area around it of any flammable materials (wood, leaves, paper, fabric).

Camping

  • Holcomb Valley Ranch is located in bear country. They are infrequent visitors, but please prepare properly. Food and trash storage restrictions help reduce odors that attract bears. The following are prohibited:

    Possessing, storing or leaving any food (including food for pets), refuse or bear attractant unattended unless it is:

    • properly stored in a bear-resistant container

    • stored in a closed, motor vehicle with a solid top;

    • stored in a closed, hard-body trailer; or

    • suspended at least 10 feet clear of the ground at all points, suspended at least 4 feet horizontally from the supporting tree, and suspended at least 4 feet from any other tree adjacent to the supporting pole or tree;

    Discarding or abandoning any food, refuse, or bear attractant unless it is disposed of in a bear resistant trash receptacle or other receptacle which has been provided by the Holcomb Valley Ranch.

  • To ensure the comfort and safety of all campers, it is essential that you camp in the designated camping areas. Attempting to camp elsewhere can cause significant disruptions that may affect the comfort and safety of everyone. Please be considerate of your fellow campers and limit your camping to the designated areas.

    Please do not sleep in or allow any items to extend into the fire lane.

    The Car Camping and General Admission camping areas are separate and not mixed together.

    All Gathering attendees are welcome to visit the Car Camping and General Admission camping areas.

    We expect all campers to be courteous to one another while at The Gathering.

    Aniwa and Holcomb Valley Ranch are not liable for any lost, stolen, or misplaced items.
